Rom-com would always be my favorite film genre. I torture myself with laughing then crying then laughing again at too-good-to-be-true love stories of too-good-to-be-true characters, and drool over their wtf-sooo-fucking-6-pack-hot main lead. And then wish I was the girl. Read: oh good lord movies giving me movie standards and expectations irl.
For the people who like to Netflix and chill.
For those who have time to waste.
For the maybe brokenhearted.
For the hopeless romantic. (For the hopeless.)
For you who is laying sideways stuck with your computer for hours now with one hand scrolling through this screen.
And for some of that feel good atmosphere we could all use. Popcorns out. Staying in.
Here’s a list of my must watch rom-com movies. Because I still (and will forever still) love romantic comedies despite whatever reason.
+ Putting my GIF making practice to some use. Yay!
- Two Night Stand
- Stuck In Love
- What’s Your Number
- How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days
- Friends With Benefits
- 17 Again
- 10 Things I Hate About You – a zoom in on the poem from the movie here
- John Tucker Must Die
- Made of Honor
- When in Rome
And I have runner-ups as well. Because my list kept getting longer and longer–and it’s so difficult (and painful) to cut down. Apparently, I watch a lot of movies pala. LOL. I always thought I watched series more.
Anyway, if you’ve watched everything above, maybe check Easy A (sings I’ve got a pocket, got a pocketful of sunshine), Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist (also a book–gooood!), Letters to Juliet, The Other Woman, Paper Towns (John Green wew–wrote a few quotes over here), It’s a Boy Girl Thing, Legally Blonde, Knight and Day (always on Star Movies!), Notting Hill (classic!), Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind–and Google can name a whole lot more, but these are the ones I keep re-watching. And probably can recite the lines too!
Are any of your faves here? Recommend me some more to binge watch with a tub of ice cream?
