Favorite Hiding Place

Favorite Hiding Place

Lately I’ve been thinking about who I want to love, and how I want to love, and why I want to love the way I want to love, and what I need to learn to love that way, and how I need to become the kind of love I want to be. And when I break it all down, when I whittle it into a single breath, it essentially comes out like this: before I die, I want to be somebody’s favorite hiding place, the place they can put everything they need to survive, every secret, every solitude, every nervous prayer, and be absolutely certain I will keep it safe. I will keep it safe.

These are all your artwork? Love it! I like this style 😀 I’m just about to go through your posts as well, but I had to comment this first xD

  • I like the cartoon-ish images of women you’ve crafted recently. This one reminds me of Disney’s Belle. I thought maybe it was a self-portrait. Maybe it’s this Andrea person…checked…NOOO way are they the same person. 😛 But, the start of the sentiment about love grabbed me. I am not as sure of the last few lines, though.

Nice work. And, I really like your “Currently” assessment posts in which you give details of what’s happening around you in the moment. I might have to adopt that practice one of these days. 🙂

    • Glad you liked it 🙂 I usually just draw portraits of photos from the internet or those on Instagram for practice. Couldn’t find my reference for this one but here’s a photo of the same model: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/348043877430454909/

      • I feel a lil weird getting portraits from the internet…yet, I might use one from a sales paper for a department store, but not often. I prefer people asking me to draw their portraits, or drawing people I know as gifts.

      • Ah, I see your model now.
