Louise Ramos | Venti
Hello, I'm Louise! And I like to make things. I’m an illustrator and all-around-creative based in sunny Manila.

What better way to write my first blog post but with 20oz of Iced Caramel Macchiato and a voice in my head arguing that this $3.50 Venti cup is bought for an upcoming exam all-nighter, and not to be consumed for the sole pleasure of hipster blogging in a cafe. Either way, I’m convinced that the said voice would soon calm down and I should just continue typing while not talking to myself.
So… HEY! Introductions. I’m Louise. And speaking of Venti, I just turned 20 four days ago. Wew.

I mean, where have the years gone? What about being a teenage runaway? What about becoming an internet sensation?! 20 is too old for that shit. 20 is like 50– but younger.

So yes, I am not ok with being 20. No, don’t welcome me into The 20s Club. I’ll go back to being curled up in my bed, surrounded by chips, rootbeer cans, and watch Disney movies all day because no one. NO ONE. is too old for Disney.
Then again, Schmidt did say: “Jess, first of all, you’re never gonna be old, because humans, we’re gonna be immortal by 2026.” I would be immortally 31 by then. Hmmm. Anyway, a birthday’s still a birthday– gives me the no-guilt indulgence of devouring a whole cake and ice cream from the tub.

So here’s my nth after-birthday attempt to start a new blog, and move on with old habits. Hopefully, I’m committing to this one this time. Until maybe when humans do become immortal.
